I have setup a new website at www.deadly-drunks.guildlaunch.com with a view to re-inventing our use of a website. The site is already active and i like for all to hewad their, create a gulidlaunch account and apply to join the guild there (speak to me for the launch code for auto acceptance)

Any help in getting this new site look good and full of *useful* content will be much appreciated

Congrats and thanks go out to all that attended Monday nite to finally down the Lich King.... special thanks go to Guen for agreeing to be our sacraficial lamb even if it didnt quite work to plan, although the end deadly drunk style of tactics seemed to do the trick :)

But also thanks to all that took part during the whole of our raiding during WoTLK without which we wouldnt of had the opportunity to down him (progression is unfortunatly sometimes slow and painful but tonite is where you reap the rewards of all that hard work, so again grtz to all and look forward to more raiding in the weeks/months to come.

We will be running another LK attempt so that ppl that missed out get the opportunity to get their titles.

There has been a huge increase in the number of compromised accounts in WoW recently and our guild has suffered its unfair shjare of this. I think 7 accounts have been hacked in the last 2 months which is almost 1 a week!!!!

Adding an authenticator to your account is a great way to deter hacks but this is not enough especially with the increase in whats known as keyloggers. What these can do is record all your typed in user names and passwords and now a couple of them will intercept your authenticator code, passing on a false number to WoW returning you an error saying invalid data then giving a hacker a short window to use the unused valid authenticator number and thus can use your account!

To keep these risks to a minimum, it is very advisible to use a antivirus software program and a anit-malware program. These will stop the nasty programs from running and actually getting onto your machine in the first place. Also advisable is to get it the antivirus to run scans at regular intervals (ideally daily)



So lets all get our machines safe guarded so hopefully can reduce the number of attacks we are receiving
